Oblong 2 o (305 x 420 mm). 14 hand-colored lithographed plates, including map, after Collins by T. Sinclair. Title-page and 6 pages letterpress descriptions. Original blue blind-decorated cloth, gilt-lettered on upper cover (rebacked).

FIRST EDITION of this fine series of plates, including views of the state house, the "Friends" meeting house, the Glen, Ocean House, Easton's Beach, Château-sur-mer, Spouting Rock and Adams Pond. "One of the most delightful and sought after of the American books of color views" (McGrath, American Colorplate Books p. 122). Sabin 14442.
