Constance Maria Josepha Smith (née Adeane) was the wife of Hugh Colin Smith and the mother of Vivien Hugh Smith, 1st Baron Bicester. It is said that Constance Hugh Smith often escaped the pressures of family life by spending time on the French Riviera, where she indulged her passion for watercolour painting.
