Overall the condition of the marble is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble throughout consistent with the material. There are a few small chips and losses to the bottom edges of the sculpture, in particular at the lower left front edge and at the back left lower edges. There is some orange discolouration to the lower left front edge. The marble would benefit from a light cleaning. There is a possible reattachment to the proper right ear lobe. There are some slight residues to the base at the front, particularly on the left side.
