Notes

Margaret Miller married Sir Robert Heath, of Brasted, Kent, on 10υth December 1600. The couple had nine children, six of whom lived to adulthood (see following two lots). During her husbands years in exile following the Civil War, Margaret remained at the family home in Brasted, Kent, where she died in December 1647. A year later Heath wrote Anniversarium, which contained a tribute to his late wife. In September 1649, following his death in Calais, Heath's body was brought back to England and interred beside her's in the family chapel at Brasted.
