engraving, circa 1510-15, on 18th century paper without watermark, a good but later impression, with margins, an 18th century inscription in brown ink verso, faintly showing through recto; together with Man tied to a Tree by Eros (Allegory of Love) (B. 25), by the same hand, a later impression, with margins, both with foxing, otherwise in good condition

Artist or Maker

Notes

These two engravings were printed from two sides of the same copper plate. Known in only very few lifetime impressions, it was re-discovered by Vallardi and re-printed between 1790 and 1810, from which these impressions date. The plate is now in the British Museum.
