elaborately decorated cabinet, circa 1890
the upper section composed of a series of open shelves and recesses, with mirror glass uprights and turned supports, the base with angled corners with open mirrored glass shelf, central two door cabinet below long drawer, the whole intricately painted and gilded with stylised palmettes, flowers, birds, butterflies, griffins and grotesques
216 cm., 85 in. ht by 148 cm., 58 1/4 in. width by 59 cm., 23 1/4 in. depth, one foot broken, small areas of coving missing at top of uprights
