Shipping to the UK:

If you are a UK client and have bought a licensable item, there are a variety of ways in which you can receive your Lot:

Collect the gun after the Auction.
If you attend the auction and are successful in your bid, once payment has cleared and you present the appropriate licences (if relevant) you are free to take your items with you from our Salerooms.

Collect the gun in person from Holts Auctioneers Head Office
This is the simplest way. Simply contact our Main Office to arrange a convenient time for you to collect your gun. The gunrooms are on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and open 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Collect the gun in person from one of Holt's regional valuation days
Every three months we hold Valuation Days throughout the country. If there is a day close to you, and you would like your items taken to one of these days, contact the Main Office and they will arrange for this to be done. Please be aware though, Holt's are only at these locations for one day, so items cannot be left for collection another time, and there may be a little delay if the day is busy. The best thing to do is arrange an appointment to collect your gun, and remember to bring your licence with you.

Request the gun to be shipped to your local RFD.
Once you have bought a gun from us, contact your local RFD to make sure they are happy to receive the gun for you, and be aware they may charge you for this. Then contact us to request that we ship the gun to your RFD. There is a charge for shipping, please contact shipping@holtsauctioneers.com for a quote. Then, send us your licence (original, not a copy) via recorded delivery and we will enter the gun details onto your licence. The licence is then returned to you, and the gun is shipped to your local RFD. All you need to do then is go to your local RFD with your licence and collect the gun, and notify the police that you have done so.

Non-Licenseable Items:
With accessories and non-licensable items, we can arrange to have them shipped to you by courier.


Shipping and Collection from European Destinations:

Delivery to a Holt's Representative:
Holts has a network of representatives around Western and Eastern Europe that are able to import and export items and process the import licenses. Delivery to our representatives occurs once per quarter following the auction for a flat rate of £75 for up to three guns (£10 per gun thereafter) for private individuals.

Delivery to your local firearms dealer:
We are able to deliver to most registered firearms dealers' throughout Western Europe, please contact us and your local dealer to ascertain if they are able to process the import paperwork and are able to receive items from Holts. The price of delivery is subject to location and quantity, please contact us for a quote at: overseas@holtsauctioneers.com


Non-Licenseable Items:
With accessories and non-licensable items, we can arrange to have them shipped to you by courier. For prices and information please contact: overseas@holtsauctioneers.com


Worldwide Destinations:

Export of goods - CITES Restrictions
As you may be aware several countries prohibit the importation of property containing materials from endangered species, such as rhino horn, ivory, coral and tortoiseshell. If you are interested in bidding on a lot containing these materials and you wish to export please make sure you are familiar with all relevant customs regulations prior to bidding. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to obtain any relevant export or import licence.

By registering with Invaluable to bid in a Holt's auction you confirm that you are not a prohibited person as defined by Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 (as Amended).
Furthermore, by registering with Invaluable to bid in a Holt's auction you also confirm that any obsolete calibre or antique lots purchased are retained solely as a curiosity or ornament, under the conditions of Section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act.
