Notes

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 15% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
Artist's Resale Right ("droit de Suite"). If the Artist's Resale Right Regulations 2006 apply to this lot, the buyer also agrees to pay us an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those Regulations, and we undertake to the buyer to pay such amount to the artist's collection agent.
Using a customised panoramic camera and long exposure times, Parker explores the mythological wonder and abstract beauty of solitary geological forms. The silent landmasses rising out of the sea -- the locations of which are kept secret by the artist -- lure in the viewer much like the mythological Sirens encountered by Odysseus in The Odyssey. Parker's works are held in many collections, including the Citibank Private Bank Collection. This work will be included in the forthcoming Steidl publication Sirens.

Number one from the sold-out edition of 10.
