Saulini; within an oval gold mount decorated with bead and rope twist motifs See Illustration, Colour Plate II Tommaso Saulini (1793-1864) trained in Rome to become a renowned gem cameo carver. He later came to England and exhibited at tThe International Exhibition in London in 1862.
