DIANA ROSS "THE BOSS" PROMOTIONAL STAND-UP
Large cardboard advertising stand-up, approx. 39 1/2" x 60", promoting soul singer DIANA ROSS''S 1979 album "The Boss" The display substantially recreates the album''s cover artwork, with a nearly life-size color image of Ross surrounded by a stucco-painted arch, with Ross''s name at upper left and the album title at lower right. The lower edge also twice reproduces the cover artwork itself, with holes showing that copies of the album itself were to be mounted on the display, and the logo and copyright information of Motown Records appears at the bottom right corner. The display shows a large horizontal fold across the center as originally shipped, some damage to the bottom corners, and some creases and bumping overall, else very good. Acquired from the Jackson family''s 2014 bankruptcy auction, with an auction tag still attached.
