Third volume with plate opposite title reinserted and with expertly repaired tears, infrequent light spots, hinges cracked, or partially cracked, ownership signature to front pastedown, second volume rebacked preserving original cloth spine, other volumes with brief repair to head and tail of spines, cloth with some rubbing and wear, corners and head and tail of spines rubbed.

First edition, first issue with "Boz" on title-pages and with "Fireside" plate in third volume. Smith 4.
