Count Dmitry Pavlovich Tatishchev, facing left in blue coat, white waistcoat and stock, wearing the Spanish Order of the Golden Fleece suspended from a red ribbon about his neck, the blue sash and breast star of the Royal Hungarian Order of St. Stephen, the breast stars of the Russian Order of St. Alexander Nevskij and the badge of the Imperial Russian Order of St. George and another war medal signed and dated 'D. Bossi p. t 1826' (lower left) watercolour on card oval, 5 3/16 in. (132 mm.) high, rectangular velvet surround with easel stand NOTES Count Dmitry Pavlovich Tatishchev was the Russian Ambassador in Vienna from 1826 to 1841. In 1813 he married Julia Aleksandrovna Konopka and in 1840 he lost his eyesight. For other portraits of Tatishchev, see G.
