We are grateful to Everett Fahy for confirming the attribution to Domenico Panetti, on the basis of photographs (private communication, 3 December 2008). For a similar depiction of Job see Panetti's altarpiece of 1503 painted for the Oratorio della Confraternità San Giobe in Sant'Apollinare (now Pinacoteca Nazionale, Ferrara).
