DRUIE BOWETT (1924-1998), "NAUTIC I, 95", signed and dated lower left (19)95, titled and dated to both gallery label and overlap verso, oil on canvas, unframed. 56cm by 76cm Note: A founder member in the early 1960's of the Midland Group with Moore, Sutherland, Frost, Clough, Bowett had numerous solo shows at the Midlands Group Gallery and variously in cities throughout the Midlands. Her work has subsequently made its way into various regional and national public collections. In 2006 two consignments of her work (15 in total) were successfully sold at Sotheby's, London.
