Description

Early Color Photography (Robert Bothner): Daily life in Third Reich Germany Photographer: Robert Bothner (1899 - 1967). Images of daily life in Third Reich Germany. Before 1939. 8 vintage Agfacolor slides mounted in modern slide frames.
Robert Bothner was employed as master photographer at the Landesbildstelle Württemberg in Stuttgart from 1927 - 1963. Between 1925 - 1927 he travelled through Italy and France taking photos with his 9 x 12 camera. He also worked during WWII as a war correspondent for the German air force. His photographs are often marked by technical and compositional perfection and his work was published in Das Deutsche Lichtbild 1936, 1937 and 1957. This group of images is a small collection of Agfa color slides showing a volunteer fire brigade maneuver, a ferry boat on the Main River, a row of picturesque old houses in Bamberg, small shops and market scenes in Nuremberg as well as a pastoral scene. - In very good condition.
