signed and dated 'E.Onslow Ford. 1897' (on the base)
bronze with brown patina, on a black marble plinth base
15¼ in. (39 cm.) high
Together with two archival photographs, one of the full size clay sculpture in the artist's studio, the other of the finished statue at its original location in Curzon Park, Mysore.
