A pair of portraits of a Gentleman and a Lady, he wearing blue coat, white waistcoat, frilled chemise and black solitaire, his hair powdered, she wearing peach-coloured dress trimmed with white lace, her curled and powdered hair upswept beneath a white bonnet trimmed with lace and feathers and tied beneath her chin.
Both signed on the obverse with initials and dated EV/ 82, gold frames, his with engraved monogram JJN to the reverse.
