Buyer’s premium is calculated on the basis of each lot individually.
Houbraken referred to van Zijl in his Groote Schouburgh of 1718-21 as 'the little van Dijck'. Van Zijl actually lived opposite the Anthonie van Dyck in London (see J.H.J. Mellaert, 'The works of G.P. van Zijl', in The Burlington Magazine , September 1922, XLV, pp. 147-8.
