Condition Report

Retouch is very minimal and consists of scattered dots to the background in the u.l. quadrant and one small spot l.r., to the right of her skirt and drapery, located in the shadow on the rug, appearing as a small matte spot to the naked eye. There is slight rippling to the canvas at the upper corners, which suggests the painting would benefit from keying out the stretcher. The work is very subtly painted, with ripples that appear on the wall covering actually painted that way, and the "bloom" that seems to occur on the surface of the framed painting hanging behind the figures also appearing to have been painted in by the artist.

The frame is new.
