The canvas is not lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal an intermittent line of retouching along the extreme edges. The canvas is slightly undulating. There are a few thin lines of craquelure with associated superficial flecks of paint loss and some minor paint shrinkage throughout the composition. There is a small spot of paint loss approx. 10 cm from upper edge and 22 cm from right edge and another smaller paint loss located 2 cm from right edge and 4 cm from upper edge. The varnish appears to have slightly yellowed and there is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. The impasto is rich and well preserved. This work is in overall good condition.
