Notes

Thomsen was born in Copenhagen and studied under the great Danish still life artist, J.J. Jensen. Thomsen exhibitied at the Salon in Copenhagen from 1851. She had a particular talent for portraying metals and her paintings are filled with a wide variety of textures. Her work can be found in the Museum of Copenhagen.
