EVAN PENNY 1953 - Janet epoxy resin signed, titled, editioned 2/2 and dated 1980 - 81 26.5 x 12 x 8 in 67.3 x 30.5 x 20.3 cm Private Collection, Toronto Janet is one of a group of male and female nude sculptures that first received critical attention for the artist in the early 1980s. Working with a live model, Penny created a detailed sculpture in clay, approximately four-fifths life size, which was then cast in small editions. This work is mounted on a painted wood base, designed by the artist, which has a height of 31 in.
