hosoban, sumizuri-e, 33.5 by 15cm., 13 1/16 by 5 7/8 in.

the former standing over the latter seated in front of a wooden tub of water and cutting his hair, in the play Tenchi jin tsutsu mamori performed in the 11th month of 1702, at the Morita-za, no publisher's mark, unsigned

Condition Note: Good impression with handcolouring, slightly trimmed all around, minor soiling with pinholes, one restored wormhole to upper margin
