LITERATURE AND REFERENCES

This is plate 44 from Tripe's Photographs of the Elliot Marbles of 1859. Janet Dewan has now established that these three items of sculpture are not in fact from the ruined stupa at Amaravati; all three sculptures are Jain in origin.
