hosoban urushi-e, 31.2 by 15cm., 12 1/4 by 5 7/8 in.

the actor is shown in high geta holding a parasol and a shamisen box standing in front of a bamboo fence, in the play Fuji miru sato sakae Soga performed in the 1st month of 1742, at the Ichimura-za, publisher's mark of Urokogataya Magobei, signed Eishi Torii Kiyomasu hitsu

Condition Note: Fairly good impression with handcolouring, rather soiled and trimmed all around, laid-down
