hosoban urushi-e, 30.5 by 14cm., 12 by 5 1/2 in.

the former standing whilst the latter in the onnagata role of his lover, is seated on a bench in front of a tea stall, in the play Satogayoi Fujimi Saigyo, performed in the 7th month of 1745, at the Ichimura-za, no publisher's mark, signed Torii Kiyomasu

Condition Note: Fair impression, rather soiled with a restored tear, trimmed all around and laid-down
