TWO PRINTS FROM THE SERIES `NANA KOMACHI'

hosoban urushi-e, 31 by 15.2 and 32.5 by 15.5cm., 12 1/8 by 6 and 12 3/4 by 6 1/8 in.

comprising no.1 entitled Soshi Arai Komachi (Ono no Komachi washing the copybook) and no.6, Omu Komachi (Parrot Komachi), each with a poem within the cusped cloud cartouche above, publisher's mark of Motohama-cho Igaya, signed Eshi Torii Kiyomasu hitsu

Condition Note: Very good impressions with handcolouring, no.1 with vertical fold-marks, no.6 is trimmed all around and laid-down, overall minor soiling
