a full length portrait of the actor shown bent over with his right hand raised, clenched in a fist and the other clasped over the hilt of his sword, in the play Nidonokakekatsu irosoga, performed in the 1st month of Kansei 7 [1795], at the Kiri-za, censor's seal kiwame, publisher's mark of Tsutaya Jûzaburô, signed Toshusai Sharaku ga
