The present pair of paintings can be compared to the The Madonna and Child with Saints Anthony of Padua and Januarius by Fischetti, offered at Christie's London, 17 April 2002. The putti, in particular, in the present paintings come very close to those depicted in the Christie's painting. The Madonna and Child with Saints Anthony of Padua and Januarius was dated to the 1760s, at which point Fischetti's work is stylistically very similar to Pietro Bardellino (Naples 1728-1810).
