Edouard Sevin, Nogent-sur-Marne (a gift from the artist in the 1910s. Sevin (1867-1956) was president of the Fédération française d'Aviron, Secretary of the Comité des régates internationales de Paris, and president of the Club nautique de Paris in 1919-1920. He lived in Nogent-sur-Marne and was a close friend of Gueldry); thence by descent to the present owner

Notes

The present view is of the Marne River near the Bry-sur-Marne bridge, close to where Gueldry's studio was located. To the left is the bank of Perreux-sur-Marne, with two houses still in existence; on the right, the bank of Bry-sur-Marne.
