Milano, dalla Tipografia Dell' Editore, 1820 - 27. In 2°. Solo i 2 voll. dell’America. Con complessive 167 tavole incise all’acquatinta e colorate a mano d’epoca, ognuna protetta da velina, inclusa una grande carta geografica più volte ripiegata, qualche leggera gora d’acqua, sporadiche fioriture, legatura coeva in mezzo marocchino marrone, dorso a 5 nervi, ai comparti autore e titolo impressi in oro e fregi a secco, tagli azzurri, piccole mancanze. Esemplare numerato n. 126 al “signor Innocenzo Domenico Giusti”, firma dell’autore all’occhietto e timbro dell’editore impresso a secco al frontespizio e su ciascuna tavola. Opera famosa e ricercata per la ricca iconografia, che vide la luce la prima volta a Milano tra il 1817 e il 1824 e fu contemporaneamente tradotta in francese, e attrasse subito l'attenzione dell'editore fiorentino Batelli. Giulio Ferrario (1767-1847), fondatore della Società tipografica de' classici italiani, insieme a Giovanni Angelo Borsa e a Innocenzo Domenico Giusti, fu direttore della Biblioteca Braidense, a cui donò tutte le sue opere a stampa ed i suoi manoscritti.
