Notes

Feuillet published the first important method of writing down dance steps in his Chorégraphie (1700): a track notation that displays the movement of dancers across the floor. The Feuillet system is explained in the first 32 pages of this volume, followed by the dance -tunes and steps to thirty-two dances.
