Notes

Wing does not distinguish between the issue with the mourning border and that without.

Thomas Flatman (1637-88) was both a miniaturist of distinction and also a poet, who published numerous occasional pieces over the years. He gathered them into collections first published in 1674, the fourth edition of 1686 being the most complete.
