All lots that do not carry established documented provenance nor any past record of auction history record are described as attributed, using the words: "Attributed", "Attributed to", "Att.", "Att. to";
the attribution to an author, epoch or other is to be considered only our opinion based on our training and experience of over 18 years in the study of works of art, but it remains only a non-infallible opinion.
ArteIn is committed to doing the best job possible to provide the buyer with high quality photographs and good descriptions of the works for sale,
however, our experience and knowledge of the lots we offer is limited and may be subject to gaps and errors, as may the information in our possession be limited,
(most of our pieces are the result of exchanges between private individuals that have taken place over the years or sought after in antique markets), therefore we do not give any guarantee of authenticity, nor of what is described in the advertisements, the selling method is always to be considered as seen and liked, as it is, as-is.
and we strongly urge the buyer to use his personal knowledge or to seek advice from a trusted expert to evaluate the item he wants to buy, before making any offer.
The buyer agrees to exclude ArteIn from any liability and relieves ArteIn from claims, disputes, request for cancellation of the transaction or request for reimbursement, which have as a reason incorrect information in the description or in the conditions of the lot;
the buyer declares to have understood and accepted that the descriptive part is only a reference of useful general information and that it is exclusively our opinion, not infallible. The purchaser will have as guarantee of his purchase exclusively the fidelity of the images that reproduce the work for sale,
and therefore the sale is to be considered in the "seen and liked" mode (as is).
We are always looking for pieces of art to consider for our auctions, so don't hesitate to contact us if you are looking for something specific.

All lots in the Catalog may be subject to a reserve (a confidential minimum price below which the lot will not ordinarily be sold).
We as the Seller and Agent for Consignor may place bids during the auction if and when the highest outstanding bid at any time during the sale is below the reserve which may have been established on the lot being offered, and we can use the right to withdraw lots for sale or close the auction early.
