Important series of large etchings from one of the foremost illustrators of the Civil War. Forbes reported for Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper in direct competition with Winslow Homer at Harper's. Present also are two later prints on japan paper signed by Mrs Edwin Forbes.
