FRANCES and LIONEL CRAWSHAW (b. 1876; 1864-1949) A VASE OF FLOWERS Signed F. and L. Crawshaw , also inscribed on the overlap and upon a label on the frame, oil on canvas 75 x 62.5cm. Provenance: By descent in the family of the artist. The artists lived at 12 St. Hilda's Terrace, Whitby in the early 1930's and each exhibited still life subjects at The Royal Academy in 1933-1934. Frances showed "Summer Flowers" at the RA in 1933 (no.176). ++ Good condition; needs a light clean
