(34.3 x 57 cm.) LITERATURE H. Blackburn (ed.); Academy Notes, pp. 29, 121 (illustrated). EXHIBITION London, Royal Academy, 1906, no. 666. NOTES Francis Edward Colthurst painted landscapes, portraits and figure subjects. He was born at Taunton in Somerset and there he studied art before going to the Royal Academy schools. He exhibited both at the Royal Academy and in the provinces and travelled to Morocco, Spain, Italy and Holland. He lived in Kensington and taught at the Regent Street Polytechnic.
