Lot 22: Francis Oliver Finch, O.W.S (1802-1862)

Figures seated by a waterfall, a ruined temple beyond, in a wooded landscape with inscription 'F.O. Finch/April 15th 1861' (on the mount, overmounted, presumably recording an original inscription) pencil and watercolour with gum arabic and with scratching out 111/4 x 161/4 in. (28.6 x 41.3 cm.) PROVENANCE H.L. Bradfer-Lawrence 1952, and by descent to Mrs. P.J.G. Gray and by descent in the family. EXHIBITION London, The Arts Council of Great Britain.
