Description

Franois-Joseph B_langer (1744 _ 1818) French architect and decorator working in the Neoclassic style. B_langer designed and constructed numerous h»tels particuliers for Parisian aristocrats and bankers. He designed the ChŠteau de M_r_ville for Jean-Joseph de Laborde, 1784_86. He designed interiors for the H»tel Baudart de Saint-James, 12 Place Vend»me, and influenced garden designs of the epoch. Rare document signed, 1787, 2pp., 8 x 12-1/4". Extremely rare contract between the famous architect and the master carpenter Niquet. For some unknown reason a slim portion of this document has been trimmed away affecting a few words.

Although we are careful in our descriptions, if you have any concerns about a particular item please DO NOT bid. There are NO returns for personal preference. However, we do guarantee the AUTHENTICITY of our items & will refund if they are found to be otherwise.


PAYMENT:

Successful bidders are expected to pay in full shortly after receiving their invoice. If items are not paid for in a timely manner, or arrangements made, then the sale may be nullified.
