Mayer The Man of the House/Paris 23 rue de Ter? on the stretcher oil on canvas According to Mary Ellen Sigmond, The present work depicts Aim?e Duc-Jacquet, an inn keeper with whose family the artist ? lived during his sojourns in the small alpine village of Ar?ches, Savoy, during the years 1866, 1867, and 1869. A copy of Ms. Sigmond's discussion of this painting will accompany the lot. Provenance Charles F.
