FRANK CHEYNE PAPÉ (British, 1878-1972) ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION FROM "ALI BABA". Outstanding pen and ink illustrations for a double full page illustration. The left side titled "He apologized to the Captain". Scene shows Ali Baba amongst a group of his men in a fantasy type setting. The right side with caption "For having led him on a fruitless expedition" showing a man bowing with a number of Ali Baba's men and guardsmen. Bottom has "Ali Baba M.S. P21". Each are mounted to a hard board. Outstanding examples of this artist's illustration work. PROVENANCE: Consignor's family acquired directly from the artist. IMAGE SIZE: 12-1/2" x 9".
