FRANK CHEYNE PAPÉ (British, 1878-1972) ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION FROM "SILVER STALLION". Outstanding pen and ink illustration shows a flying winged dragon having three figures riding atop. Dragons' shadow is seen on ground below and mountains in the background. All at nighttime. Figures atop depict an artist with easel, a boy on luggage and a woman steering the tail of the dragon. Signed lower left and mounted on a white matte. Back having the following writing "Silver Stallion p. 59 Half title 5 Guineas Book Three". PROVENANCE: Consignor's family acquired directly from the artist. SIGHT SIZE: 7-1/4" x 5-3/4". MATTE: 14-1/2" x 9-1/4". CONDITION: Very good. 9-73648
