oil/board, 12" x 16", signed, well framed. Penney moved to Los Angeles in 1924. He spent nearly 30 years painting in the Coachella Valley, near Palm Springs. He was a member of the Laguna Beach Art Association, Shadow Mountain Palette Club, and the California Watercolor Society. He exhibited at the California Art Club and the Society for the Sanity in Art.
