This first edition, originally hand-colored engraving is from Johann Leonhard Frisch's Vorstellung der Vogel in Teutschland und Beylaugffig auch Einiger Fremden, mit Ihren Eigenschaften Beschrieben…und Nach Iheren Naturlichen Farben. The work was published in 1733 and completed posthumously in 1763. It is considered the first great German bird book.

The work is in excellent condition overall. There is some faint image offset in the lower left portion of the print. There may be a few minor imperfections or occasional fox marks to be expected with age. The set is very clean overall with minimal handling which is typically an issue with this work, making its condition exceptional overall.
