3 volumes. xxxii, 227; 274, [2]; xii, 401 pp. Illustrated with 388 plates (260 for the Iliad and 128 for the Odyssey), many with hand-color wash and some fully hand-colored. 8 1/2 x5 1/2, half morocco, spines gilt and with leather labels.

Rare privately produced catalogue of the Homeric artwork from the collection of Francesco Inghirami (1772-1846), an important archaeologist and engineer. The plates are fine reproductions of vases, friezes, statues, coins, etc. with Homeric themes and each captioned with the chapter in the Iliad or Odyssey to which it relates.

Light wear to joints; some mild foxing, affecting text and about half the plates, but pale and mostly marginal; near fine.
