George Cockram (1861-1950) 'The Thames above Cookham' watercolour, signed and dated 1887, bears Corporation of Nottingham Autumn Exhibition of Pictures, label on reverse, 11in x 24in Footnote: Cockram studied at Liverpool School of Art and in Paris. He specialised in watercolour landscapes, especially the mountains and coastal scenes of North Wales and Anglesey. He was elected a member of The Royal Cambrian Academy in 1891 and exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1883 and 1924.
