Gilbert Stuart Framed OOC. Portrait Of Anna Symmes. 1808. Commissioned by her Father, John Cleves Symmes, Chief Justice Of The Olde New Jersey Supreme Court. Previously acquired from Estate Of Richard Warren. Prim and proper young woman with A hint of a smile. She wears a brooch on her lace collar. The Painting was reframed in a custom frame By Richard Warren when it was originally in his estate. Reframing the painting resulted in covering the artist's signature on verso. Measures 32"28" 1/2" in frame. The painting alone is approx. 24"X20".
