The first apparatus for the Festa della Chinea of 1780: a respesentation of Romulus's Temple of Mars inscribed 'ROMVLVS.REX.GRADIVI.PATRI.DEDICAVIT.' and with a tablet for the dedication below black chalk, pen and brown ink, grey wash watermark Strasburg lily with H 211/2 x 163/8 in. NOTES Giuseppe Palazzi took over the Colonna commissions of the Festa della Chinea at Paolo Posi's death in 1776 and worked for the Chinea till 1787. See the catalogue note to lot 77.
