Description

THOMAS GREEN(1814-1864) Confederate brigadier general who routed Union forces at Bayou Bourbeau. At Blair's Landing he led a suicidal charge against David D. Porter's gunboats and was cut down with about 300 of his fellow Texans. Rare war-date A.D.S. "Filed Nov. 5, 1861 T. Green Clk" as Court Clerk, 37pp. legal folio, Gonzales Co., Texas, Nov. 5, 1861, a transcript of interrogatories and depositions in the case of Thurmond vs. Trammell in which the plaintiff claims that his 36 year old female slave had been used by the defendant for a period of five years, no remittance had been made, and plaintiff was therefore entitled to $875.00. Signed on outer wrapper used for filing purposes. Overall very good. $150-200
