This is the only bon a tirer copy and has been the property of the master printer from the time of its execution. Bon a tirer is a printing term meaning good to pull or good to be printed and is applied to the artist/printer's ultimate working proof, the one against which the rest of the edition will be judged. It is therefore deemed to be the perfect print by the artist in collaboration with the master printer.
